Experience

Our doctors have many years of experience and extra training on how to make crowns perfect.

Natural & aesthetic

Many times we see crowns that were done at other offices not matching the color of your natural teeth and/or showing a black line at the gum line which doesn’t look natural. Our doctors make sure that the crowns look and feel natural so nobody can tell that you have a crown in your mouth.

Biocompatible

In our office, we only use non-toxic biocompatible material to keep you safe.

Stable core

If the tooth has been broken or damaged, it needs a strong stable build-up in order to support and hold the crown in place. Our doctors are trained to do high quality build-ups using specialized biocompatible material

What are crowns?

A dental crown is a cap placed over the weakened tooth to improve its strength and function. A tooth requires a crown when it is badly damaged by decay and requires root canal treatment, or when it is fractured or broken, heavily stained, or naturally smaller than usual. There are various types of materials used to make crowns. Our preference is the strongest type called Zirconia. It is made of the hardest material that is created with bio-engineered technology. It is extremely durable, long-lasting, transparent, and perfectly simulates the natural tooth. It ensures complete safety to your health by avoiding harmful metals. Other crowns like porcelain-fused metals and full-metal crowns are also available to protect the teeth.

Procedure

The tooth is prepared to the desired shape for the dental crown to hold firmly over the tooth.  We make sure that your crown is placed in the correct position so that your bite is correct and stable. We also check the function and make sure it is comfortable when you bite. The crown shade is chosen according to your teeth color so that the crown will match your natural teeth.

A scan impression of your teeth is taken to record every area of the prepared tooth along with the other surrounding areas. This is needed to fabricate the best-fitting dental crown. The way your teeth fit together and the strength of the bite are registered so that the new crown maintains the correct line.

The high-quality crown is then fabricated in a specialty dental lab using the impressions that were taken. The fabricated crown is then cemented into its desired position.
